B. Information We Collect
a) Personal Information: When provided voluntarily by individuals, we may collect personal information such as names, street addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.
b) Solar Loan Information: When you request a solar loan review, we collect the answers you provide, which may include your home ZIP code or state, the company you make your solar payment to, and what you tell us about your solar system and your loan, lease or power purchase agreement. If you go ahead after your consultation, we may also collect the documents you choose to send us.
c) Non-Personal Information: For statistical purposes, we may also collect non-personal information such as browser type, operating system, and IP address.
d) Advertising and Analytics: This website may use analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which set cookies and similar technologies to measure traffic and advertising performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
C. How We Use Your Information
We may use the collected information for purposes, including but not limited to:
- Providing and personalizing our services, including your free consultation.
- Contacting you about your request, by phone, email or text message, as you agreed.
- Processing transactions and delivering services.
D. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it as described below.
a) Our Resolution Partner: If you decide to go ahead after your free consultation, and with your permission, we share the information you submitted and the documents you provide with our independent resolution partner. The partner handles your case under its own written agreement with you, and handles your information under its own privacy policy, not this one. Under California law this sharing may be treated as "sharing" of personal information. See Section F for how to opt out.
b) Third-Party Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, for example our website host, customer-relationship platform, email and SMS providers, and analytics and advertising platforms.
c) Legal Compliance: We may disclose information when required by law or in response to lawful requests by public authorities.
d) Mobile Information: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
E. How Long We Keep Information
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to provide the services you requested and to meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations. You may ask us to delete it sooner. See Section F.
F. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including the sharing with our resolution partner described in Section D(a).
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you services or provide a different level of service because you made a request.
To exercise any of these rights, including to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, email support@solarresolutionadvocates.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," or write to us at the address below. We will verify your request using the contact information you previously gave us and respond within the time the law allows. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
Note that opting out stops future sharing. It cannot recall information already provided to our resolution partner. Contact the partner directly to reach their records.
